This and That
This post is just a few (or more) random pics from our first month in our new city. A little of this, a little of that. And lots of the girls' smiling faces. Of course.
It's the season for flying kites here. So we decided to join in the fun. The girls were pretty excited. So was Daddy.
I'm only posting a couple of pictures from our trip to the local zoo...because honestly, it was a little too sad to document. Zoos here aren't like the ones at home. And we'll probably wait until our visit home to go to another one.
Nathan feeding a chicken-head to a tiger. He could have fed a live chicken to a lion, but it cost $10. This, however, only cost 50 cents. Wasn't quite as exciting as expected. No roaring or anything. Glad we only paid 50 cents.
So this zoo was located inside a park with rides and different things for kids. And yes...that is a barbed wire fence. All the sidewalks, throughout the park...lined with barbed wire fences. In a children's area. Yeah.
We did take a nice boat ride in the park. Nathan felt like he was back on the Kentucky river. Almost.
Bubbles. Are. Fun.
The view from our apartment.
Daily visitors.
The view from the other side of our apartment.
A historic area of our city.
There were several classes going on in this area. This is a children's art class. When E gets a little older, I think she would love this.
This is how A responds to local people wanting to take her picture. She's very shy.
