Our Travels

We have safely arrived in our city after about 30 hours of flights, layovers, and a taxi ride to our hotel. We are, to say the least, exhausted. Jet lag has not been kind to us, and the trip itself has left our little family spent. The girls did surprisingly well. E had the more difficult time and even got sick on the plane as a result of some mean turbulence. But they were both troopers, and we are so thankful. N and I unfortunately did not sleep a wink the entire trip, resulting in the need for much grace. And though we are trying to make up for the lack of sleep, the girls, especially A, have had a difficult time adjusting to the time change, which means our nights are spent trying to convince them to sleep and not having much luck. All these things are temporary and minor troubles, and we are indeed thankful for many things. We are thankful for a safe journey and all of our bags arriving in tact. We are thankful for some kind souls at our arriving country who helped us transport our bags through customs. And we are thankful for a loving father who promises always to be with us. We are currently staying in a hotel until we find an apartment and have kept a pretty busy schedule. Our internet access is very limited. But hopefully once we have a home of our own, we will be able to communicate (and blog) more regularly. Until then...good night. Oh, wait. It's 9:30 in the morning. Sigh. 12 hours to go.
